Annie_Wood

Annie is a junior at the University of Minnesota pursing a double major in Political Science and Global Studies with a focus on Human Rights and Justice and Latin America, and a minor in Spanish studies. She spent the last semester abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina in a language program.


Amalia 2 (2013)Amalia works for Ditch, a creative editorial boutique in Minneapolis. She graduated with a degree in film from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2010.

 

 

  

 

 

Hannah_Nemer

Hannah is a senior Peace, War, and Defense and International American Studies Major at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. During her time at UNC, Hannah has conducted ethnographic field research with Uganda’s minority Jewish community, and with the community has produced several music videos and a short documentary. Next year, Hannah plans to enroll in a Visual Anthropology Masters program so that she can continue to pursue multimedia documentary production.

 

Jasmin 2 (2014)Jasmin studied at Anoka Technical College and now works as a camp director and Super America employee. She is expecting twin boys in the spring and very excited about being a mom!

 

 

 

 

 

Kaisi_Haarstad

Kaisi is pursuing her undergraduate degree at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a double major in Economics and German Studies, with a Theatre minor. She is very involved on her campus as co-vice president of standards for her sorority interest group, playing the role of Alaura Kingsley in Coe’s 2014 production of City of Angels, and writing/directing in student play works festivals. She also just ended terms as Faculty Liaison for the Coe College Off Stage Players (a theatre club) as well as fundraising officer for Rugcutters Swing and Ballroom Dancing Club. In the summers, you can find her performing in Theatre Terra Firma’s annual “Shake in a Day” (a 24-hour Shakespeare festival).

 

Katie Helde 2

Katie studied drama at New York University and is now a student in the American Sign Language Interpreting Program at Laguardia College. She also works as a bartender at Cameo Gallery.

Kirsten is pursuing her bachelors in Political Science and Linguistics at Grinnell College in Iowa. She is captain of the ultimate frisbee team at Grinnell and director of a children’s theater group called the Neverland Players.

 

 

 

Maddy_ShawMaddy has spent the past three seasons working at North Creek Community Farm and recently moved back to Minneapolis to complete a certificate program in interpreting and translating at the University of Minnesota. During the week she works as an apprentice for Wonderwoman Construction.

 

Molly Nemer 1 (2013 Belgium

Molly is a student at the University of Rochester studying film and media and all the amazing things called new media.  Last summer she traveled to Iceland again and is putting together a project about Icelandic folk myth.

 

Najma 1 2012

Najma graduated from Grinnell College in 2012 with a double degree in women’s studies and global development. She currently works for the Schuler Scholar Program in Illinois.

 

 

 

 


Rachel_QuednauRachel graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington with a degree in religion in 2013. She currently lives in Harlem and works for Episcopal Charities of New York, a foundation supporting outreach programs across the state of New York. Rachel is passionate about interfaith activism, women’s rights, urban development and of course, filmmaking. She also writes a blog called The City Space.


Saida 1 2011Saida is currently a graduate student at the University of Minnesota where she is pursuing a degree in post secondary education. She spent the last few years teaching in Kenya before coming back for her graduate degree.
